Well, if you’re German, you probably just finished this sentence in your head with “… Bit!” If you’re not familiar with it – this is arguably one of the catchiest taglines in German advertising. But what does Bitburger have to do with hubFactory? To answer this question, we need to look back a little more than a year.
In spring of 2024, the Bitburger Brewery Group was looking for a replacement for its ticketing & compliance tool, which was due to be shut down at the end of the year. They became aware of us through the recommendation of one of our customers. After a few demos and conversations with the business, it was obvious that our OrderHub could not only meet their requirements, but also offer a number of improvements.
In view of the end-of-year deadline , we started immediately with Jana as the project manager. In her capable hands, the project took off despite the fact that resources were scarce due to the summer vacation period and the UEFA Euro 2024 (with Bitburger as one of the main sponsors) taking place at the same time. Even while we were on the road for another project in Brazil, we worked on the details of the requirements in order to find the best solution for the customer.
Fast forward to today. After a successful go-live at the beginning of the year, Bitburger employees can now not only book event tickets for their customers with the help of our tool, but also keep an eye on compliance at all times very easily via a compliance traffic light. Approvals for bookings requiring authorization can simply be obtained from the responsible person using the tool. There are also services that employees can use to report gifts that they have given to or received from third parties. All for the purposes of complying with legal requirements.
In the background, supporting information required for these processes is provided by a secure data exchange with the Bitburger SAP system via API interfaces. Reversely, the information collected in the ticketing & compliance tool will soon be imported into Bitburger’s reporting platform for further analysis.
Despite some challenges, we had a lot of fun working on this project, mainly due to the great Bitburger team – we hit it off right from the start. We worked our way through the project professionally, and enjoyed many good laughs along the way.
Once again, we stayed true to our motto “The Software Company made by People” and were able to make a new customer happy … and as you can see in the picture we acquired a taste for Bitburger in the process. Thank you for that!
Yours,
Susi
